It is obtained by neutralizing liquid hydroxymethionine with calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide, after drying, crushing and sieving.
This product is widely used in organic synthesis, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, etc. It can be used as a catalyst, chlorinating agent, curing agent and stabilizer in organic synthesis; in the dye industry, it can be used as a raw material for the production of Disperse Red 343; in medicine, it can be used to produce olsalazine, etc.; it can be used as a color adjustment for color photos Agent; can also be used as a fungicide, etc.
Calcium α-Hydroxy-γ-Methylmercaptobutyrate is useful in ion pairing inside Mammals and is therefore useful when it comes to nitrogen retention allowing for animal to grow quickly.
