    1. Applications:

It is mainly used to produce isoctane by alkylation with isobutene and used as gasoline octane number improver. Isobutylene and propylene can be prepared by cracking. Alkylated gasoline can be prepared by alkylation with n-butene and propylene. Methacrylic acid, acetone and methanol can be prepared. Can also be used as refrigerant.

high purity isobutane is mainly used as a standard gas and preparation of special standard mixture.

used to synthesize isoctane, as gasoline octane number improv, used to make isobutene, propylene, methacrylic acid, used as refrigerant, etc.

    Safety Information:
    - Isobutane is a flammable liquid and poses risks of fire and explosion. When storing and handling, fire prevention measures should be taken.
    - Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and inhalation of isobutane vapor. Avoid prolonged or excessive exposure.
    - It should be used in a well-ventilated environment.
    - Isobutane has potential environmental hazards. It should be handled and disposed of in accordance with relevant regulations.

    Storage method :
Store in a dedicated warehouse for flammable gases in a cool and ventilated area. Keep away from fire sources and heat sources. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 30℃. It should be stored separately from oxidants and avoid mixed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Do not use mechanical equipment and tools that may generate sparks. The storage area should be equipped with emergency handling equipment for leaks.

    Appearance:

Isobutane is a colorless gas with a faint petroleum-like odor. It is shipped as a liquefied gas under its vapor pressure. Contact with the liquid can cause frostbite. It is easily ignited. The vapors are heavier than air. Any leak can either be liquid or vapor. It can asphyxiate by the displacement of air. Under prolonged exposure to fire or intense heat the containers may rupture violently and rocket.
