PT-SC16 is GUERBET C16 alcohol. GUERBET C16 alcohol is an isomeric alcohol with two branches as straight-chain alkyl groups. The product has a network structure. C16 has a low freezing point and is better than unsaturated alcohols with similar carbon chain lengths in oxidation, hydrolysis, and color stability.

PT-SC16 has the characteristics of light color, no odor, extremely low volatility, and strong ability to dissolve additives.

PT-SC16 is widely used as a coupling agent component in metalworking fluids to help emulsification, improve product lubrication performance, improve high and low temperature stability, and improve the cleaning ability of cutting fluids.

PT-SC16 can be used in processing oils such as trace lubricants and grinding oils to improve lubrication performance and oxidation stability, and also reduce residue formation.

PT-SC16 can be used as an emollient, emulsifier, dispersant, and cosolvent in cosmetics, as an antifoaming wetting agent in the textile industry, and as a defoaming agent component in cleaning agents.
