      Product Detail

Forsterite is a ultrabasic deep-seated rock and a common rock-forming mineral. It is also one of the earliest minerals formed during the crystallization of magma and is mostly found in gabbro, basalt and olivine-like igneous rocks. The associated minerals include magnetite, pyroxene, plagioclase, chromite and serpentine, etc. Magnesia olivine or serpentine olivine with an iron content of less than 10% and a loss on ignition of less than 5% can be directly used as refractory raw materials. However, if serpentine is more severe and the loss on ignition is greater than 5%, it must be calcined or combined with magnesia sand to produce refractory materials. Output is produced in many parts of the world. In China, it is widely distributed and has large reserves in provinces and autonomous regions such as Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Sichuan, Hubei, Shaanxi and Hebei. Due to the strong resistance of forsterite to alkaline slag, its products are mostly used as regenerative chamber checker bricks, etc.
