Solubility: slightly soluble in water. Insoluble in ethanol, acetone and benzene.

Dipentaerythritol is a white crystalline solid. Non toxic. No hygroscopicity. Slightly soluble
in water. Insoluble in ethanol, acetone, and benzene. It is a byproduct of the condensation
of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde in a mineral medium to produce pentaerythritol, which
can be separated and recovered from pentaerythritol using a stepwise crystallization
method.
