‌ LABSA (linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid) is an anionic surfactant widely used in various detergents, cosmetics and pesticides. The chemical name of LABSA is dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid, the molecular formula is C18H30O3S, the appearance is light yellow to brown viscous liquid, soluble in water.

LABSA is an anionic surfactant that is commonly used in the production of detergents, cleaning products, and other industrial applications. It functions as a foaming agent, emulsifier, and wetting agent, and is known for its ability to remove dirt and oil from surfaces. LABSA is produced by sulfonating linear alkylbenzene (LAB), which is derived from the reaction of benzene with olefins.

LABSA is the English abbreviation of Linear Alkyl Acid.
As an anionic surfactant, LABSA has properties such as decontamination, wetting, foaming, emulsification and dispersion, and its biodegradability is greater than 90%. Detergent raw material: LABSA is mainly used for the production of sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS). LAS has properties such as decontamination, wetting, foaming, emulsification and dispersion, and its biodegradability is greater than 90%. LABSA is widely used in the production of various detergents and emulsifiers, such as laundry powder, dishwashing detergent, and light and heavy scale detergent in daily chemical industry, cleaning agents in the textile industry, dyeing auxiliaries, degreasing agents in electroplating and leather industries, and deinking agents in the paper industry, etc.

Decontamination, wetting, foaming, emulsification and dispersion: LABSA has the functions of decontamination, wetting, foaming, emulsification and dispersion. It appears as a brown viscous liquid and is acidic. Non-flammable, rapidly soluble in water, insoluble in common organic solvents. This product has a strong absorbency. It becomes a clear and viscous liquid after absorbing water.
