    1. Description 


    Sodium antimonate is a white solid that is soluble in water. It has strong oxidizing and corrosive properties. It decomposes at high temperatures.

    Sodium antimonate is an inorganic salt compound of antimony with low toxicity. It is synthesized by oxidation of antimony products such as antimony oxide, and appears as a white powder or grayish white powder. There are two types: granular crystals and equiaxed crystals. The melting point is 1200 ºC and the boiling point is 1400 C. Soluble in tartaric acid,sodium sulfide solution, concen-trated sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in alcohol and ammonium salts, insoluble in acetic acid, dilute alkali, and dilute inorganic acids, insoluble in cold water, with good chemical stability.
