    Features
    Diethyl ethyl phosphate features low viscosity, a suitable boiling point, good solubility, high phosphorus content, and excellent flame retardancy. It is highly stable in a two-component system of polyether polyol and isocyanate.

    Applications
    Diethyl ethyl phosphate is a highly efficient phosphorus-containing plasticizer that combines flame retardancy with plasticization, making it a promising new phosphorus-containing plasticizer flame retardant.

    Preparation Method
    Triethyl phosphite and the catalyst ethyl p-toluenesulfonate are mixed and stirred uniformly. The mixture is heated to the reflux temperature of triethyl phosphite. After reflux reaction, the mixture is distilled under reduced pressure. The fraction at 118-120°C is collected under a vacuum of 0.095 MPa to yield the colorless, transparent product, diethyl ethyl phosphonate. Applications: It is a new, highly efficient organophosphorus flame retardant that can be widely added to various rigid foam plastics.
