      Product Application

    (1) Medical field: It is used as an auxiliary treatment for liver diseases (such as hepatitis, cirrhosis), drug or alcohol poisoning, to reduce the damage of chemotherapy and radiotherapy to normal cells, and can also be used to treat certain metabolic diseases.

    (2) Health care and beauty: As an antioxidant, it can reduce the damage of free radicals to cells and delay aging; some studies believe that it may help improve skin condition and reduce pigmentation.

    (3) In the field of ophthalmology, it can be used as an adjunctive treatment for certain eye diseases such as keratitis and cataracts, helping to reduce oxidative damage and inflammatory responses in the eyes.

    (4) For heavy metal poisoning (such as lead and mercury poisoning), glutathione can participate in the detoxification process, promote the excretion of heavy metals from the body, and reduce their harm to the organism.

    (5) In sports nutrition, some people supplement with glutathione in the hope of reducing oxidative damage to muscles after exercise, relieving fatigue, and aiding physical recovery.

      Product Function

    (1) Antioxidant protection: Scavenging free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress damage to cells (such as liver cells and red blood cells), and maintaining the normal structure and function of cells.

    (2) Detoxification: Combining with harmful substances in the body (such as drug metabolites, heavy metals, environmental toxins, etc.) to promote their excretion and reduce toxic effects.

    (3) Participation in metabolic regulation: Assisting in maintaining intracellular redox balance, participating in the metabolism of certain amino acids, and protecting the activity of sulfhydryl enzymes to ensure the normal progress of enzymatic reactions.

    (4) Immune function support: It can help maintain the activity of immune cells (such as lymphocytes) and enhance the body's resistance to pathogens.

    (5) Red blood cell protection: It plays a role in preventing the oxidation of hemoglobin in red blood cells, helping to maintain the normal oxygen-carrying capacity of red blood cells.

    ECHEMI Editorial Reference
L-Glutathione reduced (GSH; γ-L-Glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine) is an endogenous antioxidant and is capable of scavenging oxygen-derived free radicals.
    Solid
Glutathione is a tripeptide compound consisting of glutamic acid attached via its side chain to the N-terminus of cysteinylglycine. It has a role as a skin lightening agent, a human metabolite, an Escherichia coli metabolite, a mouse metabolite, an antioxidant and a cofactor. It is a tripeptide, a thiol and a L-cysteine derivative. It is a conjugate acid of a glutathionate(1-).|A tripeptide with many roles in cells. It conjugates to drugs to make them more soluble for excretion, is a cofactor for some enzymes, is involved in protein disulfide bond rearrangement and reduces peroxides.|Glutathione is a tripeptide comprised of three amino acids (cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine) present in most mammalian tissue. Glutathione acts as an antioxidant, a free radical scavenger and a detoxifying agent. Glutathione is also important as a cofactor for the enzyme glutathione peroxidase, in the uptake of amino acids, and in the synthesis of leukotrienes. As a substrate for glutathione S-transferase, this agent reacts with a number of harmful chemical species, such as halides, epoxides and free radicals, to form harmless inactive products. In erythrocytes, these reactions prevent oxidative damage through the reduction of methemoglobin and peroxides. Glutathione is also involved in the formation and maintenance of disulfide bonds in proteins and in the transport of amino acids across cell membranes.
