    Polyacrylamide is a linear high molecular polymer, usually in the form of white powder or granules, with good water solubility and properties such as flocculation, thickening and drag reduction, widely used in sewage treatment, oil exploitation, papermaking and other fields.

      Product Application  


    (1) Water Treatment Field: As a core flocculant, it is widely used in municipal sewage, industrial wastewater (e.g., printing and dyeing, metallurgy, and chemical wastewater), and drinking water purification. It can aggregate tiny suspended particles and colloids in water into large flocs for rapid sedimentation or filtration, effectively reducing turbidity and removing impurities.

    (2) Oilfield Exploitation Field: It serves multiple rolesused as a flooding agent to improve the sweep efficiency of injected water and enhance oil recovery; as a drilling fluid additive to increase viscosity, stabilize well walls, and reduce fluid loss; and as a fracturing fluid additive to carry proppants and improve fracturing effects.

    (3) Papermaking Industry Field: It acts as a retention and drainage aid to help fibers and fillers in pulp retain on the paper web, reduce raw material loss, and improve paper formation and drainage speed. It also functions as a paper strength agent to enhance the tensile, folding, and burst strength of paper products.

    (4) Mining and Metallurgy Field: In mineral processing, it is used as a flocculant for ore pulp dehydration, promoting the sedimentation of useful minerals or gangue to separate and enrich minerals. In metallurgical wastewater treatment, it assists in the removal of heavy metal ions and suspended solids.

    (5) Other Fields: In the textile industry, it is used as a sizing agent and thickener to improve the adhesion and wear resistance of sizing. In agriculture, it can be used as a soil conditioner to enhance soil water retention and permeability. It is also applied in cosmetics and daily chemicals as a thickener and stabilizer.


      Product Function  


    (1) Flocculation Function: PAM can adsorb tiny suspended particles and colloids in liquids (e.g., water, ore pulp) through its long molecular chains. It bridges these particles to form large, dense flocs, which accelerate sedimentation or filtration, thereby realizing solid-liquid separation and purification (e.g., in sewage treatment and mineral processing).

    (2) Thickening Function: When dissolved in water, PAM’s polymer chains entangle with water molecules and each other, increasing the viscosity of the solution. This function is used to thicken systems like textile sizing, cosmetics, and drilling fluids, preventing component stratification and ensuring stable product performance.

    (2) Drag Reduction Function: In fluid transportation (e.g., oilfield water injection, industrial pipeline transportation), PAM molecules can reduce the friction between fluid layers and between the fluid and pipeline walls. This lowers the energy consumption of fluid delivery and improves transportation efficiency.

    (3) Retention & Drainage Function: In papermaking, PAM adheres to pulp fibers and fillers, helping them stay on the paper web and reducing loss with wastewater (retention function). At the same time, it optimizes the distribution of water channels in the pulp, accelerating water filtration and discharge (drainage function), which improves paper formation and production efficiency.

    (4) Stabilization Function: It can form a stable dispersion system by wrapping solid particles or droplets in liquids, preventing their aggregation or sedimentation. This is applied in industries like cosmetics and coatings to maintain product uniformity and stability during storage and use.
