      Product Detail  


    Lithium chloride is a white crystalline highlywater-soluble compound with good ionic conductivity. It has a relatively lowmelting point, which helps in the fabrication of battery components and solid-stateelectrolytes or the use of molten lithium chloride as an electrolyte.

    Lithium chloride is mainly used in the field of air conditioning, as a flux, desiccant, chemical reagent, and in the manufacture of fireworks, dry batteries and metallic lithium.

    • Application areas
      Raw materials for the production of metallic lithium. Flux in the electrolytic production of metals (such as the production of titanium and aluminum), used as aluminum welding agent, air conditioning dehumidifier and special cement raw materials, also used in flames, and in the battery industry for the production of lithium manganese battery electrolytes, etc. Anhydrous LiCl is mainly used for the electrolytic production of metallic lithium, aluminum welding and brazing agents, and dehumidifying agents in non-refrigerated air conditioners.
      Metallic lithium can be produced by electrolyzing a mixed molten salt of LiCl/KCl at 600°C. Industrial metallic lithium is produced by this method. Lithium chloride is also used as a dehumidifier in air conditioning systems, a good flux in the electrolytic production of metals or in the preparation of powders (such as the production of titanium and aluminum), a precipitant for RNA, and an additive in Stille reactions.
      Lithium chloride can be mixed with DMF to form solutions of different concentrations as a solvent for dissolving polymers. It is commonly used as an eluent for GPC molecular weight measurement.
