Paraffin wax, also known as crystalline wax, is through distillation after solvent refining, solvent dewaxing or by wax freezing crystallization, press dewaxing to make wax paste, and then by solvent deoil or sweat deoil, and supplement refined by flake or needle crystal. According to the different degree of refining, it can be divided into three kinds: full refined paraffin, semi-refined paraffin and crude paraffin. Each type of wax is divided into different varieties according to its melting point.

What is the difference between semi-refined paraffin and fully refined paraffin?

1, the degree of refining is different: the degree of refining of semi-refined paraffin is smaller than that of fully refined paraffin.

2, the color is different: the color of paraffin wax with a high degree of refining is lighter, the color of semi-refined paraffin wax is darker, and the color of fully refined paraffin wax is lighter.

3, different uses: semi-refined paraffin wax is suitable for the manufacture of candles, crayons, packaging paper, cultural and educational supplies, general telecommunications materials and wood processing, light industry, chemical raw materials and other aspects. Fully refined paraffin wax is suitable for high frequency porcelain, carbon paper, iron pen wax paper, precision casting, decorative sound-absorbing board wax.

Application

Crude paraffin contains more oil, mainly used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboard, canvas and so on.
Fully refined paraffin wax and semi refined paraffin wax is widely used, mainly used for food and other commodities of components and packing materials, baking container with dressing, cosmetics raw materials, used for fruit preservation, improve rubber insulation aging resistance and increase flexibility, electrical apparatus, precision casting, stylus, waxed paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper, etc.
