1. Description
The main components of cinnamon extract include trans cinnamaldehyde (70%~85%), trans ortho methoxycinnamaldehyde (5%~12%), and cinnamyl acetate.
Cinnamon extract is the dried bark or bark extract of the Cinnamomum cassia plant in the Lauraceae family. It is generally a yellow or amber liquid with a unique aroma and a sweet and pungent taste. 3. Main Efficacy
1. Antioxidant effect: The water extract of cinnamon has a certain antioxidant effect, and in vitro experiments have shown that it can inhibit lipid peroxidation reactions. Study the antioxidant activity of cinnamon using DPPH method, with inhibition rate as the indicator of antioxidant activity. When the concentration of cinnamon is 5mg/ml, the inhibition rate is 94.2%. When the extraction solution is diluted 5 times to a concentration of 1mg/ml, the inhibition rate is 92.9%, indicating that cinnamon has strong antioxidant capacity.
2. Anti inflammatory effect: Cinnamon extract can inhibit the expression of cyclooxygenase-2 and carbon monoxide synthase in RAW2647 cells cultured in vitro, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Cinnamon has a certain inhibitory effect on both acute and chronic inflammatory reactions. It has inhibitory effects on carrageenan induced paw edema and increased capillary permeability in rats, and has a preventive effect on adjuvant arthritis, which can prevent secondary symptoms throughout the body.

Effects on the digestive system: The water extract of Cinnamomum cassia has a significant inhibitory effect on cold or water soaked stress-induced gastric ulcers and 5-hydroxytryptamine induced ulcers in rats, as well as inhibiting gastric juice secretion and increasing gastric mucosal blood flow rate in rats.
4. Effects on the blood system: In vitro experiments have shown that cinnamon methanol extract and cinnamaldehyde can inhibit platelet aggregation and have anticoagulant effects, and cinnamic acid also has anticoagulant effects. In vivo experiments have found that cinnamon methanol extract has an inhibitory effect on endotoxin induced experimental thrombosis in rats. In addition, cinnamon alcohol extract can significantly inhibit liver stagnation and bleeding caused by endotoxins.
5. Effects on immune function: Cinnamon extract can significantly reduce non-specific immune function and antibody production, and reduce spleen weight in young mice, but has no significant effect on thymus weight or passive allergic reactions in rats.
