Introduction
Sophora glycerol is a microbial secondary metabolite produced by the honey-derived bee-borne pseudomimetic yeast (C. bombicola) through a fermentation process under certain conditions using sugar and vegetable oils, etc., as carbon sources.
ECHEMI SOPHO is a biologically active surfactant obtained by biosynthesis of a naturally occurring biological base. It is a microbial metabolised glycolipid with reduced surface tension, emulsification of crude oils, altered permeability, low ecotoxicity and biodegradability, as well as anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties. Our production process includes fermentation and extraction. The fermentation process is entirely a microbial metabolic process. The raw materials are natural vegetable oils and the extraction process is a physical extraction process. All processes are chemical free and no chemicals are added to ensure that the whole process is green and sustainable.
