Sodium Lignosulfonate is a natural high-molecular polymer extracted from wood, commonly used as an industrial additive such as concrete water reducer, dye dispersant, and pesticide adjuvant.

(1) Building materials industry: Its most important use is as a concrete water reducer, which can reduce the water consumption for concrete mixing, improve workability, and at the same time enhance the strength and durability of concrete.

(2) Chemical and material field: It serves as a dispersant for powders such as dyes, pigments, and carbon black to prevent particle agglomeration; it can also be used as a filler or reinforcing agent in rubber and plastics to reduce production costs and improve product performance.

(3) Agricultural field: It is used as a pesticide adjuvant (e.g., a dispersion stabilizer for suspensions and wettable powders) to improve pesticide efficacy; it can also act as a fertilizer synergist to promote the absorption of nutrients by crops and improve soil structure.

(4) Other fields: It is used as a flotation agent in mineral processing to facilitate mineral separation; in the textile industry, it works as a sizing agent to enhance yarn strength; it can also be applied in water treatment as a water quality stabilizer or flocculant.

(1) Dispersing function: It can be adsorbed on the surface of solid particles (such as dyes, pigments, and pesticide technical materials), forming an electric charge barrier or steric hindrance to prevent particle agglomeration, enabling the uniform dispersion of materials in liquids and maintaining the stability of the system.

(2) Water-reducing function: In concrete, it can be adsorbed on the surface of cement particles, reducing the bonding force between particles and the water consumption for mixing, while ensuring the fluidity (workability) of concrete and indirectly improving the strength and durability of concrete.

(3) Stabilizing and synergistic function: In the agricultural field, it can stabilize the pesticide suspension/wettable powder system and extend the duration of pesticide efficacy; when used as a fertilizer adjuvant, it can chelate nutrients, improve the soil colloid structure, and assist crops in absorbing nutrients; in water treatment, it can stabilize water quality or assist in flocculating impurities.

(4) Binding and reinforcing function: In materials such as rubber and plastics, it can combine with the substrate and act as a filler or reinforcing agent to enhance the mechanical properties (e.g., tensile strength) of the materials while reducing production costs.
