      Product Introduction  


    Aluminum Hydroxide is a white amorphous powdery inorganic compound, commonly used as a flame retardant, antacid, adsorbent and industrial filler, and widely applied in fields such as plastics, rubber, medicine and water treatment.

      Product Application  


    (1) Flame retardant field: As an inorganic flame retardant, it is widely used in materials such as plastics, rubber, cables, and coatings. When heated, it decomposes to absorb heat and release water vapor, which can inhibit combustion, reduce smoke generation, and improve the fire resistance of materials.

    (2) Pharmaceutical field: As an antacid, it is used to treat conditions such as excess stomach acid and gastric ulcers. It can neutralize excess stomach acid in the stomach and relieve symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux; it can also be used as an adsorbent for the treatment of drug poisoning (e.g., adsorbing toxic substances in the intestines).

    (3) Water treatment field: As a flocculant and adsorbent, it is used in industrial wastewater and drinking water treatment. It can adsorb suspended solids, heavy metal ions (such as fluoride ions), and organic matter in water to achieve water purification.

    (4) Industrial filling field: As a low-cost and low-toxicity filler, it is used in products such as papermaking (improving paper whiteness and strength), toothpaste (increasing paste stability and abrasiveness), and ceramics (reducing firing temperature and improving green body performance) to lower production costs and optimize product properties.

    (5) Other fields: It can also be used in the preparation of aluminum salts (such as aluminum sulfate and polyaluminum chloride), catalyst carriers, and as an additive in the glass and ink industries to adjust product performance.


      Product Function  


    (1) Flame retardant and smoke suppression function: When heated, it decomposes to absorb heat and release water vapor. This not only lowers the surface temperature of materials to prevent combustion, but also dilutes combustible gases and inhibits smoke generation, providing fire protection for materials like plastics and rubber.

    (2) Acid neutralization function: As a weakly alkaline substance, it can undergo neutralization reactions with acids (such as gastric acid and acidic wastewater), which can relieve discomfort caused by excessive gastric acid or adjust the pH value of acidic wastewater.

    (3) Adsorption and purification function: It has a large specific surface area and adsorption capacity, and can adsorb suspended solids, heavy metal ions (such as fluoride ions) in water, and toxic substances in the intestines, realizing water purification or assisting in detoxification.

    (4) Filling optimization function: As a low-cost and low-toxicity filler, it can increase the volume of products (such as paper, toothpaste, ceramics), improve their physical properties like whiteness, strength, and stability, while reducing production costs.

    Toxicity:

    The toxicity of aluminum mainly includes two aspects: the first is the mechanical stimulation to lung tissue; the second is to make protein precipitation and form fiber-like irreversible protein compounds with non-inflammatory performance. The inhalation of aluminum dust can damage the lungs to cause bauxite lung, the chronic symptoms of which have weight loss, easy fatigue, difficult breathing and cough. Aluminum hydroxide is more likely to cause alveolar epithelial hyperplasia than aluminum.The maximum allowable concentration of aluminum hydroxide is 6 mg/m3.Small trauma can be first treated with alcohol and gasoline, and then covered with non-toxic dressing; large wound can be excised and sutured, and then treated with sulfonamides and penicillin therapy. People working in dusty places should wear gas masks, protective glasses and dust protective overalls to protect the skin and eyes. In addition, every year people should attend a regular physical examination.
