  Copovidone is a water - soluble high - molecular resin, appearing as a white powder, odorless and tasteless, highly hygroscopic, soluble in water, ethanol and anhydrous ethanol. It has good cohesiveness, hygroscopicity, film - forming property and surface activity.
- Applications:
  - Pharmaceutical field: Copovidone is mainly used as a water - soluble binder and dry binder in the direct compression technology of tablet manufacturing.
  - It is used as a film - forming material in thin - film coating and as a pore - forming agent in taste - masking agents.
  - It is applied to sugar - coated anti - splitting tablets, and the bottom layer coating is used for moisture prevention.
  - Industrial field: VP/VA copolymer is used as a rewetting adhesive in industry, an adhesive for paper, an adhesive for coatings, a thickener for various inks and a protective colloid. It is also a commonly used emulsifier and protective colloid for vegetable protectants.
