Ametryn is a selective systemic herbicide belonging to the triazine family. It is mainly used for pre- and post-emergence control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in crops such as sugarcane, maize, pineapple, and cassava.
It acts by inhibiting photosynthesis in susceptible plants, providing long-lasting weed control while maintaining crop safety.

🌱 Mode of Action

Ametryn is absorbed mainly through the roots and foliage of weeds. It inhibits the Hill reaction in photosystem II, blocking electron transport and chlorophyll formation, which ultimately leads to plant death.
