Anhydrous Sodium Sulfide (CAS:1313-82-2,EINECS:215-211-5, HS Code:2830101000) is an inorganic compound appearing as yellow or red crystalline flakes/powder. It is produced by carbon reduction of sodium sulfate followed by purification and dehydration processes. The product dissolves readily in water with strong exothermic reaction, slightly soluble in ethanol, and its aqueous solution shows strong alkalinity. Applications
Leather Processing Industry
Core depilatory agent for raw hide treatment, effectively hydrolyzing keratin to remove hair and feathers from animal hides. It also helps loosen skin fibers, improving leather softness and quality, and is widely used in tanning and fur processing industries.
Textile & Dyeing Industry
Essential raw material for manufacturing sulfur dyes (sulfur black, sulfur blue, etc.) and dye intermediates. Acts as reducing agent and mordant in fabric dyeing, especially for cotton and wool fibers, enhancing color fastness and uniformity. Also used as desulfurizer in viscose fiber production.
Mining & Metallurgical Industry
High-performance ore flotation agent for separating copper, lead, zinc and other valuable minerals from gangue. It modifies mineral surface properties to improve floatability, and is also used in gold extraction processes as a precipitant for heavy metals.

Powerful reducing agent for removing heavy metal pollutants (Pb, Cd, Hg, etc.) from industrial wastewater through precipitation reactions. Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption, oxidation and caking. Keep away from acids, oxidizing agents, edible materials and flammable substances. Shelf life is 18 months under proper storage conditions.

Safety Information
Classified as hazardous goods (UN 1849, Class 4.2, Packing Group III) for international transportation. It releases toxic hydrogen sulfide gas when reacting with acids. Fine dust may cause severe irritation to skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Wear full protective equipment (dust mask, chemical-resistant gloves, goggles) during handling.
