    Azide acid, also known as hydrogen azide, is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor at room temperature. N3- is also known as a halogenoid ion. Azide acid can be produced by the reaction of acid with sodium azide. Azide acid can be used in organic synthesis, and its lead salt is used as an ignition agent. Production Method 1. Preparation: NaN3+CH3(CH2)16COOH→HN3+CH3(CH2)16COONa. Pure NaN3 and stearic acid are mixed in a flask and then connected to a receiving flask placed in a cold trap at -40℃. Evacuate the vacuum and heat the flask in a water bath. Collect HN3 in the receiving flask. Subsequently, it is distilled and purified at -50℃ to -80℃. Note: HN3 will explode violently. The amount synthesized each time should be small and the temperature should not be too high. And it should be carried out in a fume hood with explosion-proof glass. Azide aqueous solution can be prepared by the following method. 2. Put 15gNaN3 and 5gNaOH in a 250mL three-necked flask (in a fume hood) and add 150mL of deionized water.
