Sodium Tripolyphosphate, abbreviated as STPP, CAS No.7758-29-4, is a high-efficiency inorganic polyphosphate manufactured by high-temperature thermal polymerization of refined soda ash and food/industrial-grade phosphoric acid. Available as white free-flowing fine powder or uniform crystalline granules, the product is odorless, easily soluble in cold and hot water, and features powerful metal ion chelation, water softening, pH buffering, dirt dispersion and emulsification capabilities. It can stably bind calcium, magnesium, iron and other hard-water mineral ions to eliminate the adverse impact of hard water on cleaning and processing formulas, meanwhile effectively dispersing solid dirt particles to avoid secondary sedimentation and recontamination. It prevents stripped dirt from re-depositing onto fabric fibers, optimizes washing efficiency under various water hardness conditions and reduces detergent raw material consumption, being irreplaceable main raw material for daily chemical cleaning formulation.
Ceramic & Tile Production Industry
Key high-efficiency dispersant for ceramic slip and glaze slurry. Adding proper amount of STPP reduces slurry viscosity remarkably, cuts the needed water dosage of ceramic blank raw material, improves slurry fluidity and mold filling performance.
