Properties:

N-2-Hydroxyethylpiperazine-N'-3-propanesulfonic acid is a chemical compound that is soluble in water and ethanol, and exhibits acidic properties in water.

Applications:

HEPPS (EPPS) is a buffering agent with an effective pH range of 7.3 to 8.7. HEPPS attenuates Aβ-aggregation-induced memory deficits in mice and rescues cognitive impairments. EPPS is orally active and capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier.
