    AGRICULTURE
    While ferrous sulfate monohydrate is used as a raw material in plant protection and nutrition and other industrial applications, it can also be used as a direct fertilizer in agriculture. It accelerates the increase of chlorophyll pigment, which is necessary for photosynthesis, and ensures that the plant is healthy. It is one of the essential trace elements for the development of plants. It helps acidify alkaline soils. It is necessary for enzyme activity and chlorophyll synthesis in plants.
    FEED ADDITIVE
    It is used as a trace element source of ferrous in mineral element mixture formulations which is prepared to meet the mineral needs of animals in the feed additive industry. Trace elements are important in animal nutrition. Even in small amounts, they are related to the function of enzymes and hormones.
    INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
    It is used as a flocculant in wastewater treatment plants, hematinic in ferrous deficiency and  therapeutically in veterinary medicine. It is used to dye concrete, some limestones and sandstones a yellowish rust color, and as a chromium reducer in the cement industry. It is used as a mordant in wool dyeing and as an artificial colorant for canned black olives. It is used in the production of ferric sulfate, and in the production of ferric oxide pigments such as black-yellow-red. In wood production, ferrous sulfate solutions are used to give the tree its silver color.
