      Product Detail

AOD is a synthetically engineered peptide derived from a functional fragment of human growth hormone (HGH) responsible for regulating fat metabolism. It is capable of stimulating lipolysis while inhibiting lipogenesis, making it a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of obesity. In addition, AOD has demonstrated potential anti-aging effects, including improving lipid metabolism, enhancing skin elasticity, and promoting collagen production.

    Class:

Synthetic hGH fragment 177–191 (lipolytic peptide, 15-amino-acid cyclic)

    Status:

Research compound — Not FDA approved. Phase 2b obesity trials completed, not advanced.

    Mechanism:

A synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide (Tyr-Leu-Arg-Ile-Val-Gln-Cys-Arg-Ser-Val-Glu-Gly-Ser-Cys-Gly-Phe, cyclized via Cys-Cys disulfide bond) derived from the C-terminal region (amino acids 177–191) of human growth hormone. AOD-9604 mimics the fat-metabolizing domain of hGH without stimulating IGF-1 or cell proliferation. It stimulates lipolysis via β3-adrenergic receptors and inhibits lipogenesis, producing selective fat reduction.

    Activity note:

AOD-9604 is a lipolytic peptide fragment, not a traditional receptor agonist. Functional lipolytic activity is observed at micromolar concentrations in adipocyte assays. Does not bind GHR.
