Diethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether (DGBE, Butyl Carbitol, CAS:112-34-5,EINECS:203-961-6, HS Code:2909499000, molecular formula C₈H₁₈O₃, MW:162.23) is a colorless transparent liquid with mild characteristic ether odor, produced via ethoxylation reaction of n-butanol with ethylene oxide followed by precision distillation purification.
