Aluminum Sulfate Octadecahydrate (commonly known as alum 18-hydrate) is a white crystalline powder or chunk, highly soluble in water with strong acidic hydrolysis (pH ~2.5–3.5 for 5% solution). It is the most widely used inorganic coagulant in drinking water and wastewater treatment, and also serves as a key mordant in textile dyeing, paper sizing agent, and analytical reagent in laboratories. Storage & Handling
