Firocoxib (CAS 189954-96-9), also known as ML-1785713 and marketed under the brand names Previcox and Equioxx, is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) modulator belonging to the alkoxy lactone class of compounds . It appears as a white to off-white crystalline solid with the molecular formula C₁₇H₂₀O₅S and a molecular weight of 336.40 g/mol.

With a purity of ≥98.0% by HPLC, Firocoxib is a veterinary pharmaceutical compound approved for the management of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs and for the control of pain and inflammation in horses. It was first described in a 1997 patent by Merck Frosst and received FDA approval for veterinary use in 2004
