Heptane Cenke

1. Physical Properties
At room temperature, it is a colorless, highly volatile liquid with a slight gasoline-like odor. It is sparingly soluble in water but miscible with organic solvents such as ethanol, diethyl ether, and chloroform; it is a highly flammable, low-boiling-point liquid.
2. Chemical Properties
(1) It is chemically stable at room temperature and does not undergo conventional reactions with strong acids, strong bases, or strong oxidizing agents.
(2) Under light exposure, it undergoes substitution reactions with halogens; it can undergo isomerization catalyzed by aluminum trichloride; upon complete combustion, it produces carbon dioxide and water.
3. Main Applications
(1) Fuel testing: Used as a reference standard for determining the octane rating of gasoline; the octane rating of n-heptane is defined as 0 and is used to calibrate the anti-knock properties of gasoline.
(2) Industrial Processing: Used as a nonpolar industrial solvent, it is widely applied in the dissolution of paints, inks, and rubber; cleaning in the printing industry; and the extraction of animal and vegetable fats and oils.
(3) Research and Chemical Industry: As a chemical raw material, it is used to synthesize organic compounds such as toluene and 2-nitroheptane; it can also serve as a reference solvent in chromatographic analysis and spectroscopic fluorescence analysis.

Grades and Specifications: Industrial grade.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.
