Tetrapropoxysilane, abbreviated as TPOS, also named Tetrapropyl Orthosilicate, CAS 682-01-9, molecular formula C₁₂H₂₈O₄Si, molecular weight 264.44, is a premium alkoxysilane raw material supplied by Ruisunny factory with industrial grade purity minimum 99%. It is synthesized by the reaction of silicon tetrachloride and n-propanol, followed by neutralization, multi-stage rectification and moisture-proof filtration, which effectively removes residual propanol, free acid and silanol by-products to ensure ultra-high purity and stable chemical performance of finished liquid.

TPOS presents uniform colorless transparent liquid at room temperature, with stable physical indicators including density 0.916g/mL (25℃), refractive index 1.401 (20℃), boiling point 225℃, flash point 95℃ and silica content up to 22.5%. Compared with common ethyl silicate, its propyl molecular structure leads to slower hydrolysis rate, milder reaction kinetics and better operation controllability during production, avoiding excessive rapid crosslinking and coating surface defects such as pinholes and cracksSiSiB.
