  • Description

Sodium percarbonate hydrate, commonly known as sodium percarbonate and designated as SPC, is an eco-friendly solid peroxide additive. Its primary function relies on the slow release of hydrogen peroxide to achieve oxidative effects, and its applications span multiple fields including household cleaning, light industrial manufacturing, water treatment, aquaculture, and food cleaning. In household detergents, it serves as the key ingredient in “explosive salts,” breaking down stains even at low temperatures to bleach clothes and remove yellowing and mold stains—all without chlorine and without damaging fibers. In the food industry, it is used for soaking and cleaning fruits, vegetables, and tableware, gently breaking down pesticide residues without leaving any irritating residues. In the textile and paper industries, it replaces chlorine-based bleaches to bleach cotton and linen fabrics as well as pulp, thereby reducing wastewater pollution. In aquaculture, it is added to water bodies to continuously release oxygen, improving oxygen-deprived conditions at the bottom of the water while inhibiting the proliferation of harmful bacteria. In industrial wastewater treatment, it oxidizes and decomposes organic pollutants, aiding in decolorization and the degradation of COD; in laboratories, it serves as an oxygen-supplying and oxidizing chemical reagent; and in home swimming pools and bathrooms, it disinfects, eliminates odors, and kills bacteria and mold. Its overall advantages include a solid form that is easy to store and transport; decomposition products consisting solely of sodium carbonate and water, making it environmentally friendly and pollution-free; suitability for various production and cleaning scenarios requiring mild oxidation, bleaching, sterilization, and oxygenation; and compatibility with a wide range of formulations for blended use.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.

    Strong Oxidizing Agent

    Reactivity Profile:

Oxidizing agents, such as SODIUM PERCARBONATE, can react with reducing agents to generate heat and products that may be gaseous (causing pressurization of closed containers). The products may themselves be capable of further reactions (such as combustion in the air). The chemical reduction of materials in this group can be rapid or even explosive, but often requires initiation (heat, spark, catalyst, addition of a solvent). Explosive mixtures of inorganic oxidizing agents with reducing agents often persist unchanged for long periods if initiation is prevented. Such systems are typically mixtures of solids, but may involve any combination of physical states. Some inorganic oxidizing agents are salts of metals that are soluble in water; dissolution dilutes but does not nullify the oxidizing power of such materials. Organic compounds, in general, have some reducing power and can in principle react with compounds in this class. Actual reactivity varies greatly with the identity of the organic compound. Inorganic oxidizing agents can react violently with active metals, cyanides, esters, and thiocyanates.
