Product Overview

• Atipamezole (CAS 104054-27-5), also known as MPV-1248 and marketed under the brand name Antisedan, is a synthetic imidazole-based α2-adrenoceptor antagonist.  It appears as a white to light yellow powder to crystal with the molecular formula C₁₄H₁₆N₂ and a molecular weight of 212.29 g/mol. 

  With a purity of ≥98.0% by GC, Atipamezole is a well-established veterinary pharmaceutical compound primarily indicated for the reversal of sedative and analgesic effects of medetomidine and dexmedetomidine in dogs.  It acts as a potent and highly selective α2-adrenoceptor antagonist with a Ki of 1.6 nM and an exceptional α2/α1 selectivity ratio significantly higher than yohimbine.
