Azelaic acid (also known as nonanedioic acid or Anchoic acid) is a naturally occurring nine-carbon saturated dicarboxylic acid. It is found in cereals such as wheat, rye, and barley, and can also be produced by the skin commensal yeast Malassezia. This product is supplied as a high‑purity (≥99% by HPLC) white crystalline powder and is widely used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and industrial applications.
