• Alpha-Arbutin (CAS 84380-01-8, C₁₂H₁₆O₇) is white crystalline powder with good water solubility and higher stability than β-arbutin. It works as an effective tyrosinase inhibitor to block melanin biosynthesis, brighten skin tone and fade pigmentation and post-inflammatory dark spots. It features mild irritation and low sensitization risk. Widely used in whitening serums, masks and lightening skincare formulations for safe skin brightening.
