      Product Detail

Aluminium Sulphate (Alum) 17% Industrial Grade

Aluminium Sulphate, commonly known as Alum, is an inorganic aluminium salt widely used as a coagulant in water and wastewater treatment and as a process chemical in several industrial applications.

Our Aluminium Sulphate is supplied for industrial and commercial applications where controlled coagulation, floc formation and suspended-solid removal are required. The product is available in solid form and can be supplied in standard industrial packaging suitable for bulk transportation and storage.

The principal chemical identifier is CAS 10043-01-3, with the chemical formula Al₂(SO₄)₃.

    Product Highlights

    • Aluminium Sulphate based industrial coagulant
    • Al₂O₃ content: 17% minimum
    • White to off-white crystalline solid
    • Suitable for water and wastewater treatment applications
    • Available in bagged and jumbo-bag packaging
    • Suitable for bulk industrial supply
    • Batch-specific COA available according to commercial arrangement
    • TDS and SDS documentation available subject to product specification

    Water Treatment

Aluminium Sulphate is commonly used as a primary coagulant in water-treatment processes. When added to water under controlled treatment conditions, aluminium species hydrolyze and participate in coagulation and flocculation, helping destabilize suspended particles and promote their aggregation.

This makes Aluminium Sulphate suitable for applications involving turbidity reduction, suspended-solid removal and clarification.

Dongkwang Poland's public water-treatment portfolio similarly describes Aluminium Sulphate (Alum) as a primary coagulant for turbidity removal in municipal and industrial water-treatment applications.

    Industrial Applications

Depending on grade and customer requirements, Aluminium Sulphate is also used in:

    • Pulp and paper processing
    • Paper sizing
    • Textile processing
    • Dyeing processes
    • Leather processing
    • Industrial wastewater treatment
    • Municipal wastewater treatment
    • General coagulation and clarification processes

Application suitability should be confirmed against the customer's process conditions and required regulatory/quality standard.

    Product Quality

Each commercial shipment should be supplied against the agreed product specification. Batch-specific Certificate of Analysis documentation can be provided where applicable.

Customers requiring a specific specification for aluminium oxide content, iron content, water-insoluble matter, pH or trace metals should state their requirements before order confirmation.

    Supply & Packaging

Aluminium Sulphate can be supplied in 25 kg and 50 kg bags as well as larger jumbo-bag formats, subject to order quantity and packaging availability.

Packaging should be kept intact during transportation and protected from moisture.

    Commercial Supply

Available for bulk B2B supply on FOB and other agreed international trade terms.

Pricing depends on specification, packaging, quantity, loading port and current market conditions.

It is a chemical agent used in water purification, the pH regulation of garden soil, and other commercial or industrial applications. Medically, it is primarily used as a coagulating agent in minor cuts and abrasions as well as deodorant. Aluminum (Al) is ubiquitous and represents the third most common element in the Earth’s crust. It most commonly exists in a combined state with various other elements. Al is found in materials used in the pharmaceutical industry, and in manufactured foodstuffs, cosmetics, and tap water. By overcoming the body barriers, Al may infiltrate into the blood and lead to toxic effects in liver, bone and the central nervous system.|Aluminum Sulfate Anhydrous is an aluminum salt with immune adjuvant activity. This agent adsorbs and precipitates protein antigens in solution; the resulting precipitate improves vaccine immunogenicity by facilitating the slow release of antigen from the vaccine depot formed at the site of inoculation.
