Uses

Reduced coenzyme Q10 is mainly applied in the nutrition‑health and skin‑care sectors. In dietary applications, it is used to manufacture dietary supplements such as soft capsules and microencapsulated powders, providing nutritional supplementation related to mitochondrial energy support and antioxidation targeting middle‑aged and elderly populations as well as sports nutrition scenarios. Ubiquinol (Ubiquinol‑10) is the reduced form of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). As a potent antioxidant, ubiquinol is capable of protecting vitamin E, including hard‑to‑regenerate vitamin E and vitamin C. Ubiquinol features both lipophilicity and hydrophilicity. Acting as a transmembrane factor, it inhibits lipid peroxidation and its propagation by transferring electrons to ROS.
