2S10 (SS-31, Elamipretide) is a synthetic mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide, exclusively supplied for preclinical laboratory basic research. It selectively accumulates in mitochondria and participates in regulating mitochondrial oxidative stress and membrane stability.
It is widely used to explore mitochondrial injury, anti-apoptosis and oxidative damage repair mechanisms via cell experiments and rodent animal models.
