Mechanism:A synthetic 29-amino-acid peptide (H-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Ala-Ile-Phe-Thr-Asn-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Gly-Gln-Leu-Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-Met-Ser-Arg-NH₂) identical to the amino-terminal segment of endogenous human GHRH. Sermorelin binds to the GHRH receptor (GHRHR) on anterior pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating pulsatile GH synthesis and secretion via the cAMP/PKA pathway. Unlike exogenous GH, sermorelin preserves the endogenous GH pulsatility and IGF-1 feedback loop.
