    Description

    KPV is a small bioactive tripeptide sequentially composed of three amino acids: lysine (Lys), proline (Pro), and valine (Val), with the single-letter abbreviation K-P-V. Chemically, it corresponds to the C-terminal fragment at positions 11–13 of the human endogenous hormone α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), so it is also denoted as α-MSH (11-13). Its free acid has a molecular formula of C₁₆H₃₀N₄O₄ and a molecular weight of approximately 342.43. It is commonly supplied in the acetate form on the market for better stability. The finished product is generally a white to off-white lyophilized powder with good water solubility and biocompatibility. Thanks to its small molecular size and simple structure, it is easy for transmembrane transport and formulation incorporation.

    Compared with its parent hormone α-MSH, KPV achieves a clever "functional separation". It retains the core anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities of α-MSH while having almost no melanogenic effect, so it does not cause burdens such as skin pigmentation. This is the key reason why it attracts attention among active peptide raw materials. As a fine raw material produced by peptide synthesis processes, this product is available in common specifications ranging from 1 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg up to gram scales, with a typical purity of 98%–99% (HPLC).
