Fluvoxamine is an antidepressant which functions pharmacologically as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor.Target: SSRIsFluvoxamine is effective in inhibiting 5-ht uptake by blood platelets and brain synaptosomes. Drug Function and Efficacy

Fluvoxamine maleate is a 5-hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibitor that acts on brain nerve cells and has little effect on non-adrenergic processes. At the same time, receptor binding experiments show that fluvoxamine maleate has almost no affinity for α-adrenergic, β-adrenergic, histamine, M-cholinergic, dopaminergic or 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors.

Ingredients	Fluvoxamine.
Indication	1. This product should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors. 2. This product can slow down the decomposition rate of drugs metabolized by the liver. When used in combination with warfarin, phenytoin, theophylline and carbamazepine, it will produce obvious clinical effects. If used in combination, please adjust the doses of these drugs. 3. Fluvoxamine maleate can increase the plasma concentration of benzodiazepines metabolized by oxidation. There are reports that fluvoxamine maleate can increase the original steady-state plasma concentration of tricyclic antidepressants. It is recommended that this product should not be used simultaneously with tricyclic antidepressants. 4. This product can increase the plasma level of propranolol. It is recommended to reduce the dose of propranolol when taking it together. 5. After two weeks of co-use of this product with warfarin, the plasma concentration of warfarin increased significantly and the coagulation time was prolonged. When patients take oral anticoagulants and fluvoxamine, the coagulation time should be monitored and the fluvoxamine dose should be adjusted accordingly. 6. This product can be used in combination with lithium to treat severe, drug-resistant depressed patients. However, lithium and tryptophan may aggravate the serotonergic effect of fluvoxamine. 7. No synergistic reaction between this product and digoxin and atenolol was observed. 8. As with other psychiatric drugs, alcohol intake should be avoided during the use of fluvoxamine maleate.
