Substances that contain a fused three-ring moiety and are used in the treatment of depression. These drugs block the uptake of norepinephrine and serotonin into axon terminals and may block some subtypes of serotonin, adrenergic, and histamine receptors. However the mechanism of their antidepressant effects is not clear because the therapeutic effects usually take weeks to develop and may reflect compensatory changes in the central nervous system. Drug Function and Efficacy

It is a bipolar antidepressant with stimulant properties at low doses. It has the same pharmacological effects as amitriptyline, but with a weaker sedative effect. The combination of the two ingredients has antidepressant, antianxiety and eudaimonic properties.

Flupentixol Melitracen Tablets
Ingredients	This product is a compound preparation, its main ingredients are: flupentixol hydrochloride and melitracen hydrochloride.
Indication	Contraindications: Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (including non-selective inhibitors, selective monoamine oxidase-A inhibitors (such as moclobemide) and monoamine oxidase-B inhibitors (such as selegiline)) is prohibited. Co-use may cause the risk of serotonin syndrome (see contraindications for details). Not recommended combinations: Sympathomimetics: Melitracen may enhance the cardiovascular effects of the following drugs, including epinephrine, ephedrine, isoproterenol, norepinephrine, phenylephrine and phenylpropanolamine (ingredients contained in local anesthetics, general anesthetics and nasal decongestants). Adrenergic nerve blockers: This product can reduce the antihypertensive effects of guanethidine, betanidine, reserpine, clonidine and methyldopa.
