To a solution of Example 102A (3.0 g, 16.8 mmol) in ethanol (50 mL) was added a solution of KOH (40percent aqueous, 15 mL). The mixture was warmed to 45° C. and was allowed to stir for 2 hours until all solids had dissolved. The mixture was cooled to ambient temperature and partially concentrated under reduced pressure. The material was diluted with EtOAc and acidified with 10percent aqueous HCl. Layers were separated and the aqueous phase was extracted EtOAc (3.x.20 mL).
