Basic Blue 3 Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Using m-hydroxy-N, N-diethylaniline as the basic raw material, after methylation, nitrosation, and ring-forming condensation, zinc chloride is added to form a salt, filtered and dried to obtain a finished product. . Add 30g of ice water, 6.5mL of 30% hydrochloric acid, 5.1g of m-methoxy-N, N-diethylaniline into a 250mL beaker, stir and cool to 0-2℃, slowly add 2.1g of sodium nitrite within 15min The solution prepared with 7mL of water, keep the reaction temperature below 5℃, and react for 30min. Use starch potassium iodide test paper to determine the end of the reaction. Add 8 mL of water to a 250 mL four-necked flask, add 5.2 g of m-hydroxy-N, N-diethylaniline with stirring, increase the temperature to 95°C, and keep the temperature for 10 minutes. Then slowly add the above-mentioned nitrosation solution within 15 minutes. After the addition, continue the reaction for 30 minutes, cool to 75°C, add 3.5 mL of 30% hydrochloric acid, and stir for 10 minutes to dissolve all the materials. Add 50% zinc chloride solution (containing 1g zinc chloride) at 65-70°C, and keep the temperature for 15 minutes. Then add 50% zinc chloride solution (containing 2.5g of zinc chloride), keep the temperature for 20 minutes. Cool to 45°C and filter to obtain the product.

Uses

Cationic Turquoise GB is mainly used for the color matching of acrylic fiber strips and acrylic fleece, with bright colors and good level dyeing. As usual, it is dyed with cationic golden X-GL and cationic pink FG in bright and dark colors; it is dyed with cationic yellow X-6G or cationic yellow X-8GL in dark green. It is also suitable for dyeing wool nitrile and viscose nitrile blended fabrics, which has less stain on wool and viscose. Also used for direct printing. It can also be used for dyeing acid-modified polyester fiber, diacetate fiber and leather, and the manufacture of ballpoint pen oil, carbon paper, and waxed paper.
