Pigment Yellow 139 Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The product is obtained by condensation of diiminoisoindoline and barbituric acid. Reaction equation Operating process Add phthalonitrile to the methanol solution of sodium cyanamide at 30-35°C and stir overnight at room temperature to obtain the product diiminoisoindoline. The diiminoisoindoline and barbituric acid are condensed at 60°C in an aqueous medium containing formic acid to obtain a yellow pigment.

Uses

Can be used for printing inks and plastic coloring.
