Zinc borate (Zn3(BO3)2) Use and Manufacturing
Zinc oxide method. Reaction equation: 2ZnO+6H3BO3→2ZnO3·B2O3·3.5H2O+5.5H2O Method of operation: Put a certain proportion of zinc oxide and boric acid in a crystallizer that has been filled with a certain concentration of boric acid medium solution, and react at 80~100℃5 ~7h, then filter and wash, the filter cake is dried and crushed to obtain a finished product of zinc borate. Zinc hydroxide method. Reaction equation: 2Zn(OH)2+6H3BO3→2ZnO·3B2O·3.5H2O+7.5H2O Method of operation: In the presence of water and other organic solvents, add zinc hydroxide and boric acid to the reactor at a temperature of 100°C, After keeping the temperature for 6-10 hours, the material liquid is filtered, and the obtained solid is washed with hot water and dried to obtain the finished product of zinc borate.
Flame retardant for various engineering plastics, rubber products, coatings, textiles, etc. It is also used in medicine, waterproof fabric, ceramic glaze, paint mold inhibitor, sterilization mold inhibitor, bactericide, etc. It is a good non-toxic anti-rust pigment.
Boric acid (H3BO3), zinc salt (2:3): ACTIVE|PMN - indicates a commenced PMN (Pre-Manufacture Notices) substance.
