Calcium chlorate dihydrate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

After dissolving and digesting lime into water to make lime milk, it is sent to a chlorination tower, which is reacted with chlorine gas to produce calcium chlorate, etc. The reaction solution contains calcium chlorate>50 g/L, and calcium hypochlorite<25 g/L. Sodium sulfide removes free chlorine, and after filtering and refining the filtrate, the solution is concentrated by evaporation, cooled and crystallized, centrifuged, and dried and crushed to obtain calcium chlorate. Its 6Ca(OH)2+6Cl2→Ca(ClO3)2·2H2O+5CaCl2+4H2O

Uses

Herbicide, insecticide, seed disinfectant.
