Description

Silver sulfid is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ag2S and a gray-black powder appearance. The density of silver sulfid is 6.85-7.23 g/cm3, the melting point is 825℃, and it decomposes at the boiling point. It is insoluble in water, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, and soluble in potassium cyanide and sodium cyanide solutions.
