Calcium metaborate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

In the boric acid lime milk method, a lime milk containing about 10% CaO is prepared by digesting quicklime, and then metered into the synthesizer. The boric acid-containing solution obtained during the preparation of boric acid from the sodium polyborate method is added under stirring, and the control material B2O3/CaO is 0.9 ~1, react at 40~65℃. The formed calcium metaborate precipitate is filtered, washed, dried and pulverized to obtain a finished product of calcium metaborate. 2H3BO3+Ca(OH)2→CaO·B2O3·4H2O Ammonium hydrolysis filtrate of ammonium borate lime milk method carbon ammonia method boric acid is used to remove the remaining ammonium bicarbonate with compressed air under proper heating, and then sent to the synthesizer. Uses

It is a new raw material in the alkali-free glass industry, and is also used in anti-rust coatings, flame retardants, mildew inhibitors and the pharmaceutical industry.
