Z-3-CYCLOHEXYL-L-ALANINE Use and Manufacturing
To a O9C solution of 3-cyclohexyl-L-alanine (10g, 58.4mmol) in THF/ H2O ( 1/1 , 292ml) was added benzyl chloroformate (9.93 g, 58.4 mmol) and K2CO3 (9.67g, 70.09 mmol). The mixture was stirred at 0s C for 0.5 hour, and then stirred overnight at RT. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc (200ml) and adjusted the pH to about 2 with 6 N HCI. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated to a solid as product in 95percent yield (17g): MS (m/z): 306(M+H).
