Description

Cananga oil is produced by steam distillation of the flowers of C. odorata (DC) Hook. f. etThomson ssp. macrophylla. The yield, based on the weight of the flowers, is about 1%: The oil is a light to dark yellow liquid with a characteristic, floral, slightly woody odor.

Methods of Manufacturing

It is obtained from fresh flowers of Cananga odorata (Cananga odorata), which are distilled by wet steam or dry steam. The yield is about 0.5% to 1%. It is mainly produced in Madagascar, Reunion Islands, Java and nearby areas, and it is also cultivated in a small amount in Fujian, Guangdong and Yunnan in my country.
