Methoxypolyethylene glycol maleimide Use and Manufacturing

In the site-specific modification of sulfhydryl groups of protein and polypeptide drugs, the most commonly used activated PEG is maleimido polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether (mPEG-MAL). To avoid cross-linking and agglomeration during the modification process, monomethoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG-OH) is usually used as the synthetic raw material of the modifier.
